At Work in Our Community: Infinity's Service Projects

Infinity's roots are in the Tallahassee community, where we started the business in 1994. We believe that it is our responsibility to support our neighbors and those in need – that being “At Work in Our Community” means more than just doing business here. We should be a good corporate citizen through active involvement in local charitable endeavors. To do this, we contribute our time and resources to organizations and events that help others. However, Infinity is also committed to developing totally new ways to give back, through our own corporate projects. These projects give our employees the opportunity to be At Work in Our Community as a team, making a difference in the place we’re proud to call home.

Boys Town Room Makeover

From 2007 through 2011, Infinity has held a Boys Town Room Makeover. Each year, Infinity staff, family members, and friends spend a day working together in one of the homes on the Boys Town campus. We redecorate bedrooms by cleaning, repainting, hanging curtains, reupholstering bulletin boards, installing ceiling fans, providing new bedding and otherwise sprucing up the accommodations for the six young people living in each home. Infinity has also remodeled the kitchen and dining area of one home. These exciting projects also rely on the generous contributions of other local businesses that provide supplies and assistance.

Back To School Drive

Infinity believes that when children are prepared for school, they can walk into class on their first day feeling confident and excited about learning. From 2005 through 2009, Infinity proudly sponsored and organized an annual Back to School Drive. Each year, Infinity employees, family members, and other volunteers paired up with children from Florida Baptist Children’s Home for a special hour-long shopping spree at Beall’s Department Store in Tallahassee. During the shopping sprees, we purchased clothing and shoes for the children, and provided them with backpacks stocked with school supplies. Infinity is proud to have been part of a positive experience for these school-aged children.

More Corporate Projects

We've been At Work in Our Community for many years. Here are few examples of previous corporate community endeavors:

Hospice Supply Drive
In December 2010, Infinity held a donation drive to provide much-needed supplies to patients receiving hospice care. Items such as toiletries, nutritional supplements, blankets, towels, socks, and food were donated by employees and delivered to Big Bend Hospice just in time for the holidays.

Hurricane Katrina Dollar-Match Program
In September 2005, Infinity held the Hurricane Katrina Dollar-Match Program to benefit those devastated by the Katrina disaster in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. Every dollar donated by employees was matched by Infinity and delivered to the Red Cross. Infinity raised over $4,000 to benefit those affected by this tragedy.

More Corporate Projects (continued)

We've been At Work in Our Community for many years. Here are few examples of previous corporate community endeavors:

Chess Challenge
Infinity sponsored a Chess Challenge in 2003 at Pineview Elementary School. The event, which promoted better reading and analytical skills (while having fun!), proved to be a wonderful opportunity for staff and the community to work together in educating our local youth.
